Ok, so I was planning to go to a college that was close to home for two years (complete my general courses) and then transfer to another college to complete my major in petroleum engineering. The reason behind this is because I don’t want to travel far away from my home at the moment and stay at a dorm/apartment with roommates right away. Not only this but I want to see how college classes are like before I move away. All I will have to pay for is tuition which won’t be that bad so I’ll be able to save up money from the two years and use that money later when I move to the other college. Do you think this is a good idea or should I just go straight to the college offering my major and complete it without the hassle of taking the common courses and transferring over the completed credit hours?
