Maybe it’s just me, but feeling “weary” of a school’s location before ever arriving on campus is kind of a red flag. As a premed student, you’re probably going to be under more stress than the majority of the student population, and in combination with Ithaca’s semi-rural location and climate, this may prove to be more than what you signed up for.
I don’t want to discourage you from the school and think it’s great that you’re interested, but in my opinion, the biggest arbitrator of whether or not someone will be happy at Cornell is * whether or not they want to be there in the first place*. It would be unfortunate if you were here in 6 months asking for advice on how to transfer out…
