I will be attending Purdue next year as an undecided engineering student, and then will most likely be choosing computer engineering. If I do will well at Purdue, will I be able to get good co-ops or internships in california? (my parents will be moving to california). Basically does Purdue have enough name recognition on the west coast to get me in the door if I have good stats?

Gawd yes!..engineers are in fantastic demand. Purdue is a fantastic school.
Good luck in your studies.

Purdue is very well known for engineering and other sciences. You’ll be fine.

My nephew goes to Purdue and he was just offered a summer internship at GE in Portland (along with 12 others I think). So I would say yes, they have name recognition on the west coast – farther north than you’re looking at, but the coast nonetheless. He loves Purdue.

Purdue=great engineering
great engineering=1000’s of opportunities in California
