i’m in a dilemma b/c on one hand, i’m greatly amused by st. aegis’s cynicism and impressed by his audacity in taking on all of cc, but… i like being in the know, and i have no clue what “st. aegis” means. so, for now, i like oprah!

st aegis can be broken down into saint and aegis; implying saint of aegis
What does aegis mean?
Aegis according to a dictionary is a breat plate used in war fighting, however I was directing it towards aegeus, one of the kings of Athens. He was the father of Theseus, the slayer of the minotaur in Mida’s/ Dadaelus’ Labyrinth. After Theseus attempted to sacrifice himself,he made a pact with his father that if he came back with a white sail attached, it means that he had died. Now, Theseus had slayed the minotaur and escaped Crete, however he forgot to switch the sails. As a result, the father saw the white sail and from his place, he jumped off a cliff to his death below. What I wanted to personify was this anticipation and hope of waiting; thus this was how my name was derived.

seriously? come on, oprah, don’t do this.
Besides, this is just asking the Roommate-Assigning deities to make you two roommates next fall.
Oh jeez.

Nay!, this is indeed a question worthy of consideration. Certainly I admire the…tenacity of st. aegis, yet I am equally inclined to side with Oprah! based on issues of personal apparel. I would perhaps liken this rivalry to that of 50 Cent and Kanye West. 50 Cent is perhaps more…severe, and on this basis may be the legitimate victor in their rap rivalry; even so, the music of Kanye West has a certain stylistic quality which generates great appeal, and ultimately, Kanye outsold Fitty.

I don’t like rap much, though. Except for dancin’. :)
