optimal way of doing Chinese?

<p>I want to get some fluency in Mandarin in the last 2 years of college, but I don’t know if it is better to:</p>

<p>1) Take 1A this fall, then if I do OK go for 1B & then 10a-10b.
2) Take the intensive Summer session next year, if I do OK do the 10a-10b.</p>

<p>While doing so much in one summer sounds attractive, I do find the prospect of a 10 unit hard language class spread over just 10 weeks to be rather daunting.</p>

<p>I think that they offer the 10 series in the summer. So do 1A and 1B in fall and spring, then do 10 in summer then 100 series in your final yr. Or you could do EAP in China or something.</p>
