Opting Out of the New SAT?

After a good bit of studying, practice, & research, I’ve decided that the ACT is a way better fit for me. While I plan on taking the current SAT for the first (and sadly the last, since it’s leaving) time in January 2016, I frankly don’t wanna take the new redesigned SAT at all, at least this coming year as a junior. Of course I still gotta take some subject tests for a few schools.

If I only submit ACT & SAT subject test scores, will my app look less competitive/be affected?
*I’m interested in applying to CMU, UPenn ED, Princeton, Penn State - Schreyers, Pitt, and Lehigh Spring 2017

You should cancel your SAT and sign up for Subject Tests if you haven’t already. It’s becoming very common for students to waste their time with both the ACT and SAT when only one is necessary.
