It seems possible, but want to confirm. S25 is ready to submit a few applications to schools that have optional art portfolio submissions through SlideRoom. His SlideRoom account is set up, but he wants a few more weeks to finish some pieces. Can he submit his applications now and return later to submit the portfolios? TIA
Sure. So long as the portfolio is in before the deadline. Be aware that a small number of schools have an earlier deadline if submitting a portfolio.
That said, there is no advantage to submitting the application now, unless the college has rolling admissions. He needs to review the application, run spell- and grammar-check, be 100% satisfied with his essays, and ideally get someone else to proof.
And once he hits that submit button, he should not look at the application again. Nor should he post “I had typos in my app. Am I cooked?”.

Thank you! These are early action and rolling applications. He has had them double and triple checked by his GC and family.
