Who is applying to UIUC? Should I write the optional essay “If you have a low grade or a drop in grades that you have not already explained, do so below. (300 words)”, if I have already clarified the main points within the Common App (in the gap year section and in the section “why you transferred from this school”) and I will add very little new information?
Maybe you want to swap for this school. Don’t fill in the additional info - and write the essay.
But yes, no need to repeat. But if they have a space specific to this issue, I might place it there.
