Am I at a disadvantage if I don’t submit the optional progress report/ quarter grades in the Notre Dame Portal. I applied REA and my progress report would show 3 B’s and 3A’s. Should I submit it?
It is difficult to give accurate advice without more information. For example we do not know what your other grades are like or what type of high school you attend.
However, my first reaction is that a semester or quarter with an unweighted 3.5 is not going to help you get accepted to Notre Dame. I looked up what PrepScholar says about Notre Dame, and it shows an average GPA of 4.11 and a 12.4% acceptance rate. It also calls Notre Dame “extremely competitive for GPAs”.
It is hard to imagine how submitting an optional quarter grade report with 3 B’s and 3 A’s could possibly help. I do not think that I would submit it.
However, you should make sure that you also apply to safeties. Notre Dame does not sound like a safety for you.
I probably wouldn’t if your grades on your transcript are better.
If it is optional I would probably skip it because those 3 B’s are not going to help you at Notre Dame.
