Order of Activities

We are struggling with the order of her activities. She has lots of theater-related activities that she did 9-11th grades. However, the activities most important to her are the internship she is doing now at an after-school program at an elementary school 5 days/week and her summer job as a camp counselor. She wants to be an elementary school teacher. Should she put the theater activities first because it shows long term commitment or the internship because working with kids is her true passion?

Personally, I would put the activities in order of importance to her at this point in time. Admission officers will read through the entire list.

I think either is ok. If they are impactful, you might consider a chronological order. You might also combine some theater activities if many are similar.

Depending on the schools applying to, activities may not even matter (or be a big deal) but if the descriptor shows impact, that’s what matters. And quality over quantity.

Good luck.
