So it is my understanding that the questions in the official GMAT book increase in difficulty through each section (e.g. the math problem solving section). One of the complaints about this format is that only a small percentage of the questions found in this book are similar to the ones you will see on the real test, as the adapative computerized format clumps your question by order of difficulty.

Thus far I have broken up each section of the book into 10 segments (e.g. the easiest 10%, the next easiest,…the hardest 10%) and I am keeping track of my performance in each segment. My question is how I can use my performance on different chunks of questions in each category to:
-Determine my approximate GMAT score.
-Determine which level of questions (i.e. the questions at which points in the book) are most likely to appear on my GMAT test.

Does anyone have any advice about this? I am a bit new to GMAT prep…

Thanks in advance!
