Ordering vs. Buying at a Store

I need to purchase a laptop for my daughter before she leaves for school on September 16th.

From the things I’ve read on here I am probably going to get an HP.

Is it better to order online or buy at a store–or does it not make a difference?

only reason i could see to order online, aside from a online only sale they are having, is the ability to build it exactly how you want it.

which HP are you looking at? i got the dv2000 at the begining of summer and it’s been pretty good. only problems i’ve had are caused by vista, nothing that HP did.

Purchasing online is better, you can customize your laptop to your needs, and in most cases, its less expensive as well.

You might want to go to the store to try out some laptops, to see exactly what model you want, then go online and order it.

I didn’t have a specific model in mind. I tried to take some notes on what people said was important. I’m really not too technologically oriented and my daughter doesn’t really know what she wants–except for something that’s got pretty good processing speed.

If anyone has anything else I should think about before I make this purchase it would be appreciated.

Thanks! You guys always come through on CC.
