Does anyone know anything about Early Action decisions to Oregon State University for fall 2024? My son has not heard anything from admissions yet and it seems they said decisions would be made by mid December.

Has he checked his portal/Beaver Basecamp (just in case email went to spam or something)?
S24 got his acceptance back in NOV. Recently got his honor college and WUE notifications. His W GPA is 4.19, OOS and MECH ENG major.
Yes, he checked the portal and it says it is being reviewed….seems odd he hasn’t received anything yet.

It does seem odd. You might double check to make sure his application isn’t missing any pieces that could be holding it up.
We had heard back about a month after applying (oos applied in late September). +1 to the recommendation of checking to see if they are waiting to receive something.
My high stats oos DC still hasn’t heard (CS). The portal says something weird like awaiting confirmation? in one spot and under review elsewhere on the page. DC has other preferred admissions so we haven’t followed up, but it has definitely been weird for us also. It says everything has been submitted.
the website definitely leaves something to be desired at times… we had a scholarship notification that was literally a pop up box that said "you got this scholarship for $xx,000’ with no details, no link to more info, etc.
Yes, it says welcome, under review, unconfirmed and awaiting decision in different spots. It also says the application was turned in at 3:45 am on November 1st, which I am certain he turned in before Halloween. He may just have to contact the admissions office.

DCs has all the same stuff in there (except says OSU received everything 10/27, so that shouldn’t be the issue). The “Welcome DC, get ready for your adventure ahead” also seems weird if they aren’t admitted. Maybe they all say that, I can’t remember. Please post if you learn anything. I think my DC has narrowed it down to two other schools, so I don’t know if we’ll contact them.
My son contacted the admissions office and they said because they didn’t receive the official transcripts until mid November, it would be about 2 more weeks until there is a decision. Don’t know why they needed the transcripts at this point. From my experience it doesn’t seem like most colleges need official transcripts until later. ???

FYI, My son was accepted yesterday, undeclared 4.0, OOS. Not his first choice but happy to have that option!

Congrats! My DD was also recently admitted (we had the same weird portal stuff earlier). Admitted CS with a nice scholarship. I don’t think she got an email, just updated portal.
