A couple in our 40s living in NYC here. Anyone with recommendations for an outfit that organizes vacations to Peru? We’re no hard-core outdoors folks but definitely in good shape to get out there and discover a country we’ve never been to. Accommodations don’t need to be luxurious by any stretch but comfortable and clean would be nice.

We did the 10 day trip with Valencia Travel in Peru http://www.valenciatravelcusco.com/andean-highlights-10-days-air.php 2 years ago. It was a small group, only 18 and the guides were wonderful. Everything was well organized. It was not fancy but the experiences were fantastic. There were so many things we enjoyed it would be hard to list or name.
Don’t bring anything expensive. Hide everything like your phone and camera when walking on the streets. I’m from Peru.
DS and BIL went to Peru with Traveling Professor a few years ago and had a great experience. Friends traveled there with REI–pricey but a wonderful trip for them.
Close family member did a trip to Ecuador with G Adventures and had nothing but praise for the trip. They have lots of options for tours in Peru.
