I am signed up for the last orientation session, and i live east coast, so i don’t want to fly back after orientation, so i am going to stay through until move in. For that week until move in is there gonna be anything going on, or i am i gonna be sitting in a dorm with nothing to do?

Have you already arranged for the stay-through?
There won’t be much going on until move-in weekend, but perhaps you may want to become a move-in assistant.
Look for your building here (https://www.orl.ucla.edu/).

Make sure you contacted ORL and telling them that you’re staying-through. They will probably charge you extra for moving in early.
There will be no one on the hill except for ORL Staff Members (Resident Assistants, Student Leaders, etc), so you can help them decorate the building and etc (you can gain some valuable ORL experience, and it will favor you a lot if you ever decide to apply for a ORL position in the future).

Just to be clear, ORL does not provide rooms and stay-throughs. That is the job of the UCLA Housing Office. Sometime during the summer (around Session C), your community president (a volunteer from ORL) will email all of the residents of his or her community to request help for move-in. When and if selected, you will discuss your room & board accommodations then.
