Is it a good strategy to understand the purpose of each paragraph in the whole text when you read, so that when a question asks something, you can refer to the respective paragraph, and answer it…

Also, do the first and last sentences of a paragraph usually summarize the whole paragraph???

If a passage portrays a specific side to a situation…like say…a passage clearly shows that school uniforms are favored…but the author shows this solely through what others have said…then can the author’s tone be considered neutral…because he’s simply restating what others are saying…or can it be considered that the author favors school uniforms…since he wrote an article on that topic in the first place…I mean…if he truly didn’t favor uniforms…why would the author choose to research about all the people that do…and write an essay about them???
