Other Recommendations Letters

Besides the two letters from two academic teachers, would it be a good idea to add two more from other letters from other people who know me? Of course it won’t be a friend of my dad, or my dad himself, but I feel these two other people would give me somewhat higher “advantage” in this game.

First one would be from the CEO of a company, who I am working for. The company could be considered a multi-media company doing everything from creating magazines/ printing/ photography/ and websites. Where I fit in this whole company is I am head of the web development department, doing everything from designing, publishing and maintaining websites. Other than the fact I think it looks good that a 17 year old is in charge of a department, the reason I want to add this letter is because, I am mentioning in my app. that am certified in some web development programs (Flash 8) and that I also own a small business doing websites for small businesses. Not only that but I want to mention my past experience in other multi-media company who I’ve helped with others projects. Basically with this recommendation letter I want to show I have been busy, using this certification to its fullest advantage and I guess also to show this is as a reason of my lack of not doing too many clubs in school.

Second is from a CEO of a NPO, who happens to be an alumnus of a certain university I want to go to. The NPO has branches and I have been fortunate to start one in my school, so besides chess club and MMA club, this is what I do at my school. I would say that our relation is rather good, considering there are several braches throughout the U.S and the world. I feel that we are probably one of the most active branches in the U.S, with our own website  and own sponsors that the CEO wouldn’t mind writing a recommendation letter. Basically this letter would go to that one university, and I think this would show how far and hard the branch and I have been working and coming from an alumnus that might add some weight on the acceptance side of the scale.

Well thats about it, lol, sorry for the long post.

I hope so. I sent a recommendation letter from my church supervisor to all of my schools.
