Other Schools To Apply To

Hello, I am a junior and I am putting my list of schools together. I often hear 6-10 schools is a good amount of schools to apply to. I want to major in computer science. I want to go to a school that has great teachers and opportunities for research. I also want a balance of cs related classes and liberal arts classes. Also, a women in cs community would be great! My dream school is the University of Pennsylvania, although that school is extremely competitive and difficult to get into, and I need more options to apply too. I have a lot of cs experience and I have a good gpa, but I have average test scores. I was thinking of also applying to Rutgers (public stateschool) and Stevens (private state school). I am more interested in Rutgers because they have a good cs program, but I want to apply to other schools across the country but mainly around the Northeast area. I was also considering Rice University, but I have no idea what other schools to apply to. I really liked Harvey Mudd, but they require SAT Math 2 and I dont think I am ready for that (currently in pre-calc), but schools that are similar to UPenn and Harvey Mudd would be great!

(I don’t mind going to a liberal arts school, my only concern is limited resources in expanding my skills outside the classroom).

THANK YOU!

I think most engineering, science programs require SAT Math 2 test to get in. If you are finishing up precalc and take the test at the end of the year, you should be prepared for the test.
