I didn’t get into university park but was offered to start at a different Penn State for nursing at one of these choices
Penn State Altoona, erie, fayvette, mont alto, and scranton any reccomendations?
Altoona or Erie would be my choice, they are the larger of the commonwealths. Altoona has the benefit of being close to UP, so you could easily go up for events. Check out the commonwealth campus thread on here to learn more about the individual campuses. They all have their merits.
Thank you
Ditto. Altoona or Erie with a slight edge to Altoona due to less snow and being closer to UP.
Remember that for nursing, you start and finish at the same campus. There is no 2+2 for nursing.
Altoona and Erie. The others are more commuter campuses. If weather matters to you, then Altoona has less snow. Altoona’s campus is flat, Erie’s is hilly. Altoona has more things within walking distance as well. Both are beautiful campuses. Altoona is close to UP so it’s easier to get to games etc…
Altoona’s nursing classes are not held on the main campus of Altoona though. There is a downtown campus which is where the Altoona nursing classes are held. If you have a car, it’s about 10 minutes away. Without a car you’d take the campus bus between. There are options to get there easily. But it’s something to keep in mind.
Students who go to both usually report very high satisfaction with their experience
