Hey all,
I am transferring out of a top-40 northeastern LAC to enter as a junior. Applying to Harvard would mean really rallying and getting all the materials and so forth out about half a month earlier than all the other school I am applying to. Is it worth it with these stats, do i have a shot even as something of a dark horse applicant?

I’m a Jew from Alabama
SAT 1:1430 V:800 M:630
College GPA: 3.87 (3.9 for fresh. year)
ECs: college newspaper, radio dj, treasurer of german club, hillel, active in fraternity.

Additionally, I have two uncles who attended Harvard, I have heard legacy matters somewhat there, if only in setting you apart from the hordes. I know my scores are somewhat less than outstanding by Harvard standards, but is it worth it toquickly throw together an app. and give it a shot? What can I do to make myself stand out otherwise? I’d appreciate any and all input.
