<p>We adopted two rescues at the same time, and changed both their names, which didn’t seem to confuse them at all. Our German Shorthaired Pointer is a boy named Fender, after my older son’s favorite guitar. Our girl is a lab mix named Gracie, after Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which our younger boy was doing at the time. I think their names suit them perfectly :).</p>
<p>The one dog that we got as a puppy I named: Ellie Mae. Ellie Mae as in Beverly Hillbillies. She was a dumb blond (ok, she wasn’t dumb) who lived in Beverly HIlls.</p>
<p>When we were very young, we got some of those dime-store turtles. My brother, who was potty training at the time, named his Underpants. The successor was named Underpants II.</p>
<p>D just got a new kitten, a lilac-point Siamese mix. I reminded her that when we got our last cat, she lobbied hard for Luna. Also that my second choice name was Daisy. She replied that she thought Daisy would be PERFECT, but wanted to spend a little time with the kitty before making it official.</p>
<p>She named the cat Marshmallow. Which leaves me Daisy for my next cat. :)</p>
<p>Our first pets were Radar and Woody after our favorite TV show characters. Our dog, Gatsby has a friend named Daisy. They’re so cute together.</p>
