Hi so I recently ventured out to an university in Arizona for a year and now I have decided to attend a community college out there (Im originally from California) since my grades weren’t too well while attending the university. However, Im worried that once I am done with my associates degree there I wont want to attend my old university and would want to transfer to UCLA or USC. Can someone tell me if those schools usually work with out of state community college students? Thanks.

UCLA or any UC give priority to INSTATE CC STUDENTS. you do not need to finish AA to transfer. you just need to meet pre req for your major and possibily gen ed ( IGETC)
if you want to attend CALlifornia UC… best bet is attend California CC ( like… SMC or LACC) and get good grade there. it will also make differnce in tuition.
