Out of state chances at USC?

Since USC is a private school, you are at NO disadvantage compared to CA residents. Coming from Beantown may even give you a slight advantage. You are a solid applicant and your chances are good. I wouldn’t say you are “guaranteed” admission, as previous poster stated, so make sure you write strong essays. Best of luck.

Great stats, if your unweighted GPA is good then that is complete. Extracurrics look fine. Get good rec letters and write a strong essay, and make sure you follow up on the national merit scholarship application.

If posssible, try to have all your application forms completed and in to SC by December 1, 2010. This will mean your application will be considered for merit scholarships. These are highly competitive, but you cannot receive one if you do not apply by that date.

IF you are admitted and become a NMScholar at SC you will receive a half tuition scholarship. Before May 1, after learning about your other acceptances, if you select SC as your No. 1 choice the NM Foundation will give you a $1,000 a year scholarship. The scholarship will be renewed each year if you maintain the required GPA and a certain number of completed units. The $1,000 a year scholarship is in addition to the half tuition scholarship.

You did not indicate a major. If you are applying to one of the art schools, such as music, theatre or cinematic arts, a portfolio/auditon will be required. For these extremely competitive programs it is difficult for any of us to guess your admission chances.

Best of luck with your college journey.
