Out of State Chances for Honors/Engineering Business Program

<p>What are my chances of getting into the UT Honors program for Business and the Honors program for Engineering</p>

President of FIRST robotics team for my school (Team 108)
Started an investment club at my school</p>

<p>Very good recomendation letters including one from my employer</p>

<p>Your stats seem fine, i don’t know what waivers you are talking about. With stats like those, why would you want to go to UT. Apply somewhere closer, like georgia tech or something</p>

<p>I was already accepted to Gergia Tech, I also applied to Carnegie Mellon and MIT. I just really like Austin and I have family that lives there.</p>

<p>The “out of state” waivers you asked about are probably the UT National Merit program. It offers In State tuition less $1000 for National Merit Finalists. See:</p>

<p>near the bottom it says for engineering you could get an out of state waiver if you got a 1500, which is what i’m wondering about since i didn’t get national merit but i got a 1500 exactly.</p>
