Out of State Financial Aid

I heard that as an out of state student I get no aid. Is that true? I’m talking more on the lines of grants.

You’ll be ineligible for Cal Grants, from my understanding. Those are the substantial ones. You’ll still be eligible for federal grants and loans like pell and stafford.

Berkeley does offer financial aid to out-of-state students, but not to cover the additional out-of-state tuition (about $23,000 per year). So the net price for an out-of-state student will be about $23,000 per year more than for a financially similar in-state student.
