I’m currently a Junior in Louisiana and plan on attending college out of state in Florida. My number 1 choice is the University of South Florida and I plan on majoring in Nursing or following a pre-med route.
My projected stats upon graduation:
GPA - 3.60 Unweighted
ACT - 28
Sports - 3 Years Wrestling Varsity
Clubs - NHS (2 Years), Key Club (2 Years), Beta (2 Years)
ECs- 30+ hours riding in Ambulances with EMTs and a Summer Internship at a local hospital
Class Rank - 80/500 or higher
Ethnicity - Asian
- What are my chances?
- If I placed 3rd at State in my wrestling weight class would that help distinguish me?
- How does USF recalculate GPAs? (Here in LA we have a 7 point scale "93-100 = A" while other states follow the 10 point scale "90-100 = A, would my letter grades be recalculated as well?) (Does the USF GPA use unweighted or weighted? Or something completely different?)
- Any extra advice? (I've heard of "Academic Common Markets" to help pay for out of state tuition)
