out of state thread

anyone else feeling the stress in socal

Nothing in Kentucky

Nothing in NYC.

wow… i didn’t know W&M was such a popular destination for out of state students…

haha theres another girl at my school applying too

That’s why it’s so hard for OOSers to get into W&M!

9 people applied from my school. I have no idea who they are (except 1)!

Nothing here in Chicago! I’m checking the mail anxiously.

I actually read somewhere that the number of OOS applications went down, not that you would know that after reading this thread!

yea it went down by like 300 applications compared to last year… i read it on the W&M website.

when my d. got accepted a few years ago, i remember it came in the mail, only, and on the late side…very late march, i think. good luck to all!

Anyone know the total number of apps OOS?

The numbers you are looking for are here:

<a href=“W&M News”>http://www.wm.edu/news/?id=7413

I can’t believe the difference in the number of men and the number of women who apply!!!

i cant believe the difference between oos and instate applicants… i knew oos was harder but i didnt know it was more people than the in state applying for only one third of the class. yikes.

3 from my school (including myself) applied this year. I was accepted a couple of weeks ago and the other two are still waiting to hear (Tennessee).

OOS admission is very tough. From talking with the admissions lady, I gathered that unless you have 1400+ SAT, impressive ECs, 3.7+ GPA, and great essays, you will be very hard pressed to gain admission. That is not to say it’s impossible (URM, recruited athlete, legacy, etc…), but it is very tough due to the stiff competition.

I am from New York. In early March, I was shocked to receive an envelope with the words WELCOME:)
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

NJ…nothing…just checked…annoying much?

central nj nothing, maybe tomorrow

I’m from NJ. Got nothing yet.

nothing in ma. did they say they would all be received by apr 1? or mailed by then?
