Bump Anyone? Thanks again.

Hard to say. It looks to me at this point there's no real hook but I won't say you won't get in either. Both of your SAT and ACT are a bit below their average (1400; 31-32); would be great if you can bring either one or both up a bit. If you don't have time for retake, make sure you write a great essay. I'd say it hinges on your essay.

One last note: the 1400 is the median of the freshman class (2008) studying at Northwestern. The median of the admitted is usually higher because some of the top ones are taken away by HYPSM.

Thanks Sam Lee. Anyone else? Thanks again and good luck to everyone.

bump Thanks for reading this thread, but if you could leave your opinion that would be great? Thanks again.

Northwestern just updated the "profile of class 2007". It used to show just the SAT/ACT median scores but now it shows detailed distributions of class rank, SAT/ACT scores versus #applied and #admitted. It's pretty informative and should give you a rough idea about your chance.

oh ok. Thanks a lot.
