I’m moving into a facility for the 2012-2013 school year at which the laundry facility is located outside. I know this is a common situation, so I’m wondering how other Seattleites deal with it. I am most worried about my clean clothes getting soaked as I bring them back into the house if it’s raining (as it often is in Seattle.) Is there a certain type of laundry bag I should get (since most aren’t waterproof)? How do you deal with this situation?

A black garbage bag would work just fine.

Or perhaps don’t do laundry when it rains?

I just lay my towel across the top of my basket. That works fine for me, since it’s never really raining that hard.

The other option is to move into a 18 bedroom house with 17 of your closest friends. lol

It always cracks me up when I see that on an ad.

@ Seatac: I’ll consider that. :)

@ ctc414: I don’t think this would work. This is Seattle, after all. It rains during most of the school year, so if I don’t do laundry when it rains, I’ll have a lot of stinky clothes laying around.

@ Xavi: Hmm…that’s another option. And yeah, those ads are always weird. I looked through a bunch of them until I found my new place. XD
