I got a email from these guys, and I know it’s a great program renowed for it’s amazing challenges and life changing experiences, but has anyone ever done one? I’m thinking about doing this next summer (if I don’t get into TASP, lol) but I’d love to hear some first-hand accounts.

I’ve done 2 OB mountaineering courses and would be happy to tell you about them via email. I’ve also done a variety of other summer programs like CTY and Oxbridge, so if you have any questions about those, I’d be happy to answer them too.

I did OB Unity Project for my school
loved it in the very end since the experience was so unique
not the norm for a young Black male

oh, once you do OB, too
there will be moments where you say to yourself
“I did OB for 8/9 days… this is nothing”

I did a 3 week mountaineering outward bound program in Oregon… Was definitely one of the best experiences of my life. I would suggest it to anyone.

“8/9 days”…or 22…or 90…

Outward Bound is a great program – and there are a few other options you might want to check out.

National Outdoor Leadership Program [NOLS - National Outdoor Leadership School](http://www.nols.edu/)

Leading Edge and Leading Edge Explorer [High Mountain Institute : The Leading Edge](http://www.hminet.org/page.php?pname=edge)

I will tell you that my son attended an NOLS program and one at High Mountain Institute – both were excellent!

Thanks guys!

My son also did a NOLS program. Amazing and life changing.
