<p>Na its okay; 10% over is usually the max.</p>
<p>I agree with noobcake, 10% over is no big deal (especially if your essay is good). No adcom will sit there and count every word on anyone’s essay.</p>
<p>10% is fine. But seeing as your essay is exactly 11% over, you are pretty much screwed.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t think that a sentence or two would be too much of a problem, then again, if everyone did it, 8000-16000, is a lot.</p>
