<p>I recently added myself to the waitlist for a class and that puts me at 22 units including the waitlisted class. Since that puts me over the unit max, what will happen when I clear the waitlist? Will I not be able to add the class because I’m at 22 units?</p>
<p>You have added the class because you are on the waitlist which is subject to the same unit restrictions of telebears. If you clear, you don’t do anything with telebears, you will just be in the class instead of on the waitlist. </p>
<p>The unit max is a policy issue and potential problem with your college. You have a method to request an increase over the the max they establish as policy. </p>

Maximum Unit Limits</p>
<p>Tele-BEARS will not permit enrollment beyond the maximum number of units approved by your college or school. If you wish to enroll in more units than the maximum, you must seek approval from your college or school dean’s office (declared majors in Letters and Science should go to their department for approval). <p>There’s a soft cap on L&S (at 24 I believe), meaning you can take as many units as possible until Telebears itself prevents you. Then you would have to talk to L&S advisors if you want even more than that.</p>
<p>Ex. I’m currently in 24 units just because I’m shopping classes right now and I want to ensure enrollment. I’m only doing it temporarily, but it still works.</p>
<p>i wonder how many people overshoot the limit each semester without notifying them? i mean L&S is a really big college. i just can’t see the already-harried office staff taking the time to catch such offenders.</p>
<p>Probably matters more when things go wrong - probation level grades - of if you are asking for some other approval and they cross check. Good to know that they enforce this about like pre-reqs are enforced for most classes - NOT.</p>
