I have like 30 tests and i plan to take like 1 a day at sections at a time… i have several qas but they don’t have explanations so how do i go through what i got wrong??? and if i take one test a day, is that possibly counterproductive? what else should i be doing? my scores are basically: 700 CR 700M and 650 W

Post what you dont understand on here:D

Question:
16. In the figure above, AC = 6 and BC = 3. Point P
(not shown) lies on AB between A and B such that
CP| AB. Which of the following could be the length
of CP ?
(A) 2
(B) 4
(C) 5
(D) 7
(E) 8

plus i would hear more about the original post…

nvm solved it… bump

I would recommend taking one test a week and at most two.

draw a figure on your own. it will look like a triangle with inner angle A, where A>90. Then on the longest line label point P so CP is perpendicular to AB. Now, we know that AC=6 and CB=3, also we have angles CPA=CPB-90 degrees.
now, look at triangle CPB: BC=3, so, using pythagorean theorem, we can assume - 3^2=2^2+sgrt5. Let’s think that 2 is the length of the CP, then 6^2=4sqrt2+2^2. Recheck: let’s add areas of triangles ACP and CPB: 4sqrt22/20=5,65(approx.); sqrt52/2=2.23(approx.)
5.65+2.23=7.88
now, let’s calculate the area of the entire triangle ACB: (4sqrt2+sqrt5)2/2=7.88, that’s why
variant with CP=2 is correct.

OH well i figured it because if 3 is the hypotnuse… 2 is the only choice that is smaller than it…haha
