I have to admit I was rooting for the Pens for the only reason that I wanted to watch another game. Long time until October for the next game. All my dreams came true last year when I got tickets for game 5 and saw the Cup hoisted by the Ducks. I feel sorry for the poor Wings’s fans that did not get to see that last night, although they have won 3 cups in the last 11 years. I think Wings will blow them out in game 6.

Go Pens!

(and for my ten char): Those red pajamas the Wings wear are ugly.

thats ok…now the wings can beat the penguins for game 6 in their home arena, which will make it even more fun because we can rub it in their faces :D

Props to the 'Wings on their Stanley Cup. Competitive series (except the first two games) and my Pens fought 'til the final seconds.

Just wait until next year…

Fantastic series!

In the end, the Wings had Ozzy, Zetterberg and Datsyuk.

Crosby looked great…and frustrated.
He needs help out there and Malkin needs to step up to the post season if they are going to get it done next year.

What a great night!

Thought Osgood was the true MVP, although a collective award could go to the entire Detroit defensive corps.

You are right, Osgood was amazing…but you really had to stand up and cheer for Zetterberg’s talented and tireless play throughout. I can’t say as I have ever seen a hockey player worker harder and more doggedly through so many crucial games in the post season: Penalty-kills, powerplays, defensive-forward, scoring…he was a Whirling Dervish on ice.

Ozzy was special also inasmuch as he was unexpected coming into the playoffs and stood on his head. Hasek was supposed to be the man. My dad knows Ozzy pretty well. Congrats to both teams!

The Penguins are definitely a force to be reckoned with in the future! I am looking forward to a great Wings/Penguins rivalry. Pittsburgh is a classy team with classy fans … I applaud their run.

I do love the Wings!
