We had hoped to go to bed at our house. No luck. It’s OT in the Stanley Cup finals & we are waiting to celebrate. Anyone else watching?

Thanks for alerting us. Bye bye CC. Gotta catch the end of the game.

Multitask like the rest of us, archiemom!

I’m cheering for Pittsburgh because the son of friends is a Penguin but I have to admit that Detroit is the better team. They are an incredibly hard-working and well-coached and managed team. Darn that Scotty Bowman! ;)

come on red wingsssss

the pistons let us down, you can do this!!!

[and how about doing it fast so us detroiters can get some sleep, eh?!]

No kidding. I need to go to library…this better end in the 3rd OT

Oh my goodness! Too much excitement.
These guys must be exhausted.

S had to give up the ghost … finals in the morning! H tried to stay awake, but he’s down for the count. D & I are hanging in there. I hope I don’t get a call for a 7 a.m. job!

We’re up watching! We’re originally from Pgh! Go Penguins!

Wow! Oh, what a night!

Darn … wish I’d gone to bed.

This brought back memories of 1999 for a long suffering Sabres fan (NO GOAL!)…great game!

Rachacha, you don’t know long-suffering until you’re a Leafs fan. :)

The local paper today was advertising Stanley Cup Champion t-shirts for sale this morning. I guess the game ended after press time.

We’re a couple of very tired hockey fans this AM. Oh well, we need to rest up for tomorrow night.

Ain’t that the truth.

LET"S GO PENS!!!

Missed the first two Penguins goals due to my son’s end of year drama recital.

I am sleepy but encouraged. The Igloo is a tough place to place, so should be a good game six. I am holding out hope for a game seven back in Detroit.

Even if the 'Wings win this, still has been a great year for the Pittsburgh kids. Looks like a bright future here with the new arena under construction.

As a transplanted southerner living in MIchigan, there are a few things I’ve grown to love in my adopted state:

packzki

Vernor’s

The Red Wings.

Sad today, but hope for some octopi-tossing tomorrow!

The Wings have it all.

I grew up a Gordie Howe fan…was #9 in every sport. And yet, throughout my childhood the Wings were dogs.

It has been so great, throughout my adult years, as an expatriate in and out of state and country, to be able to be proud of my childhood team, the Red Wings --wherever I am. It’s also awesome to see my 10 year old son, a spectacular hockey player—living in New Jersey, be the Wings biggest fan even at this remove in space and time.

They’ll pull it out. They played the pants off those skunks in Pittsburg.

–still, I could strangle Juri Huddler.

As a transplanted Michigander living in Connecticut, there are many things I now miss:

1) packzki
2) pasties
3) Vernors
4) Red Wings (no one here seems remotely interested in hockey)

And yes, even tho the Pistons couldn’t pull it off, I know the Red Wings will.
