Hi, I’m currently a grade 11 CBSE student from India, and I’ve recently developed a passion for pursuing Computer Science at Oxford. I know many successful Oxford applicants seem to have been building their profiles for several years, often with multiple national and international achievements.
For me, this will be my debut year participating in Olympiads, particularly the IOI, which I’m preparing for. I’m also working on three key projects: an innovative software solution, an AI project, and building my personal website, which I plan to complete before the end of this year.
My question is: if I were to achieve maximum success this year in the Olympiads, including an IOI gold medal, would this be enough to make me a strong candidate for admission and the REACH Oxford scholarship for Computer Science? Also, could someone explain the criteria and what kind of computer science students typically receive the REACH scholarship?
I already understand the need for a strong personal statement and academic scores, so my focus is specifically on Olympiads and extracurricular achievements.
Thanks for any advice!
