Oxford at Emory - Affordability

As an out of state student, we haven’t received much financial aid. How did other middle class out of state students pay? Just take loans and work on scholarships? Also, with a ~biology major, how quickly could I land a job after graduation (on average) and what would be my starting salary (this would be in conjunction with grad school)?

As a private school, Emory’s cost of attendance and financial aid are independent of state residency (with the exception of Georgia HOPE, a relatively small scholarship provided by the state of Georgia to residents). Usually, students and their families pay for about a third of college with savings, a third while they’re in college (with current earnings), and a third later (through loans).

Biology is not a particularly employable major regardless of where you go to school. What kind of jobs/grad schools are you interested in?
