Hey guys! so me and my future roommates have plans to live in oxford manor next year in a 3-person because it seems to have a really good price considering our budgets. But, they really want to sign the lease as soon as possible, while I have heard from some upper-class friends that it is better to wait to sign the lease at apartments. I can’t seem to find anyone who has ever even heard of this place, let alone know any details about it. Does anyone here know if we could get a cheaper price waiting? right now the price is $419 each

Also, does anyone have any knowledge on the apartments or the area in general?

I lived in Oxford Manor many years ago. It was great then. The location is fine, so long as you have a car. I doubt the price will change if you wait.

you’re not going to get a better deal waiting. prices go up as it gets closer to the semester. you might get a deal if you apply the day before schools starts and they have a bunch of units left, but in general price goes up as classes get closer.

When my daughter started in Summer 2009, we signed a lease at Jefferson 2nd Avenue for a 4/4 for $545 around March. By Summer the same units were going for $395. I think a similar thing happened at The Estates.

I’m not sure what happened last summer. You’re taking a risk that the type of unit in the exact location you want will be available if you wait. It depends how particular you are in where you live.
