Oxford of Emory or Syracuse?

Hi,
I was accepted to Syracuse, but have gotten off the waitlist of the Oxford College of Emory just now. I have already paid the confirmation deposit to Syracuse. But I am seriously considering Oxford. Both schools have pros and cons, for sure. Would you please help me make a good dicision? If you can tell me why I should choose Oxford over and against Syracuse, please kindly let me know.

It depends on what you’re looking for in a school. What major/career are you interested in? What are you looking for in a college/university environment?

Hi,
Thanks for the response. Please help me if you know Oxford-Emory well.
How are Oxford graduates doing at Emory? Are they well-accepted by Emory kids and performing well at classes? It’ll be a nighmare if Oxford guys’d become sort of “second-class” citizens once they move to the main campus.

Chulmi – look at earlier threads on this Emory forum. I’m pretty sure there was a thread started by a current oxford student who was willing to answer questions like yours.

I think Oxford has a lot going for it – small classes, chance for leadership positions. From what I’ve read, their admissions criteria have become more selective recently too, so congrats on getting in. D was accepted there and the only downside was she couldn’t run Div III there, but otherwise she would have gone there. Good luck.
