bumpity the way

Its very hard to go to Pxford from the US. Only if you were in one of the commonwelath countries…

Oxford is really hard. I know from my friends at Stuyvesant that it is extremely hard and they all have crazy high averages and SAT scores and ECs to boot!

Last year, Oxford admitted about 40-50 applicants from US out of about 270 applicants in total.

These admission pages might help:

http://www.admissions.ox.ac.uk/int/usa/quals.shtml

The requirements stated are the minimium requirements, and I believe most applicants have higher stats. However, if you meet the minimum requirements, you will probably be invited to an interview.

The interview is very crucial - it will help determine whether you get an offer or not. Oxford interviews are nothing like American interviews. The focus is on finding out whether you have any potential for academic success and whether you are passionate about your chosen subject.

Note that for A level applicants (from the UK and Commonwealth countries), a minimum of 3 A grades is required. And 3 A grades at A levels is roughly equivalent to scoring 5 in six APs. Also, the APs must be relevant to your chosen subject.
