Initially I was pretty confident on my chances of getting into UT and P2/COC for the fall of 2013, but after doing some more research I’m starting to get a little worried. So hopefully I’m just psyching myself out, but if someone could give me their opinion (preferably a P2 or COC student) on my stats that would be great:
Asian
rank - in-state, 34 of 604, 5.629%
GPA - 3.6444/4 or 5.356/6 (both our weighted)
SAT - 760 CR, 670 writing, 670 math
APs - AP scholar with distinction, and I plan to take more this year
theatre all four years, NHS officer

I haven’t planned on taking the ACT or SAT IIs, but should I?

Thanks

I can only speak on the P2 side, but statistically you probably fall in the bottom half of all applicants. With that said, you don’t share any ECs, etc and that goes toward acceptance. You also did not comment about your essays either. P2 essays are a huge part of your application and your essays that are part of your general app are important too. Ask your self “do my essays pull the reader in…do they make the reader “feel” what you are saying” if they do, then you have a shot. Most P2 kids are beyond bright to the point off being a bit crazy. Most have amazing imaginations, great sense of humor , don’t take themselves seriously and are simply fun to be around…they just have “plan II-ness”
