Are we allowed to?

Nope, though no one can stop you from putting up posters, pictures, etc. Just make sure you don’t use any nails or staples.

Sticky tac will be your best friend if you’re living in a UT dorm. Don’t put anything within like 18" of the water sprinklers, and dont cover the fire exit map (I had a towel hanging on my door that covered it and got fined) and you can only cover a percentage of the walls I think. TOTALLY LAME. I utilized my closet doors though.

I moved into a co-op and my room is now painted turquoise, with the outline of a huge dove, some nautical stuff, a colorful mural, and i have a huge painting of beach drilled into the wall. I <3 my house. We can alter a lot of things here.

OH and if you want to get really creative you can get like tapestry to cover the walls (you know like Indian or hippy style). Some dorms that already had tumb tac holes in the walls didn’t really mind though like Kinsolving

Command strips are great, very supportive and pretty inexpensive. Be careful with them, though - make sure you pull them off correctly, or you WILL rip holes in the paint (and wind up using White-Out to make it look as good as new, not that I’m speaking from personal experience )

Definitely not. Use posters.

…you’re doing too much lol

Why would you want to?

It’s where you’re going to be for a year or if you’re not in a dorm maybe longer. Might as well give it a go and try to make it homey or to your liking.

You really can’t paint what’s ‘‘university property,’’ however. It’d be cool, but ya can’t.
