Is Palm Beach State a good college, especially for transferring into UCF (Orlando) for computer science?
It’s a great option for your goals. The school started as community college following the depression and has grown over the years.
They even offer 3 bachelors degrees in addition to the full slate of AA degrees.
BS available in Nursing and Information Science
41000 students. 30 perfect full time. average age of 25. And a wonderful racial diversity with nearly a 1/3 white. 1/3 Hispanic. 1/3 black.
One of the lowest tuitions in the state system.
It’s a perfectly great super CC that could easily get you to UCF with some good grades and hard work on your part.
Best of luck!
@privatebanker. Thanks for the enlightening information. I’m currently in California but may move there and pay the out-of-state tuition but it is still about the same as I am paying here.
Good luck. Nice place to live too.
Yup! I am eyeing homes in Palm Beach Gardens right now. Will be there is June for another visit.
My D19 took a dual enrollment class at Palm Beach State in Boca. When we went to the orientation for high schoolers they seemed to have a good guidance department so maybe you can talk to them a little about the transfer options before you make your final decision.
