Panicking! Is this a problem? Please advise

So I was admitted to UCLA for Fall 2012 as a transfer student. The UCLA transfer requirements page says that students should be at junior level standing by SPRING prior to transfer. Due to my overcrowded community college, I was unable to get one of my classes which puts me at 1 class short of junior level standing. (57/60 semester units). Even if I plan to take the class during the summer, could this possibly cause my admittance to be rescinded? The class is a non-major, non-IGETC requirement.

Well if you plan to take the class in the summer, BEFORE you transfer to UCLA, then it would be prior to transfer… and therefore, you should be fine. The direct answer to your question can easily be found in the transfer directives on UCLA’s website, or by placing a call to admissions. In my communications with LA, even during application/decision periods, they were always able to handle the question. If you are worried it will cause your admission to be rescinded the best approach is to contact admission directly, not seek word-of-mouth advice. You don’t necessarily have to give them your personal information when you call, as your question is pretty general.
