<p>I think the easiest way for a parent to deposit funds is by phoning in a credit card number. They treat this as a regular purchase, not a cash advance, and it’s posted immediately for the student. Mail-in checks take days. The Web site doesn’t work for parents.</p>
<p>Students can check the balance themselves online, through their MyPitt account.</p>
