So are any of your parents attending? My dad, bless him, has dumped nearly all the decision-making responsibilities on me, so I’ve no clue whether I ought to sign him up for this or not. Thing is, he’s flying back to Kuwait on the 21st (long, long journey) so would it be kinder to let him rest up at the hotel? Or let him involve himself as much as possible in my new home?

Huh? Crap, that’s another thing I missed while going over my forms.

Haha… there’s no way my parents are going. They say that I’m the one going to college, not them, so they’ve got no reason to hang around any longer than I want/need them to. In fact, they were planning on just coming down, helping me carry stuff into my room, and then heading off immediately, until I pointed out that I don’t want to be the only kid there without their parents (that’d be awkward, huh?).

My parents are going!

pat pat it’s okay, entropicgirl. even if they vanish, I’m sure there’ll be loads of kids without parents there. hope they’re staying though, for your sake. I wish my mom could’ve come with me to Stanford, but the trip will wear her out too much, I think.

garou, the deadline is the 19th of August, so no worries. Yup, I’ve decided that I’ll sign my papa up.

I don’t think my parents are sticking around long enough for that.

Heh, I didn’t even know about the deadline. Thanks! I think I will sign my parents up.

how do you sign your parents up???
