Parent self-employed, but didn't completed tax forms

My father is a taxi driver for around 3 years. He does not own a taxi, he rents other peoples taxis daily and has a irregular income. I have a document that says he is unemployed, but he does not get an unemployment payment; and his income is crucial for our family so I must report it. But I don’t know how to report it in the CSS Profile, ISFAA and ISCOF.

(Also submitted all my applications as “unemployed, taxi driver.” How should I inform colleges if I have to change it?)

You are an international student? And your dad is earning income in this country, and doesn’t do U.S. taxes?

Or are you living in another country where taxes are not file?

I’m an international student from Turkey, and yes he works in Turkey as well. I have never seen anyone file taxes, regular taxes are an inherent part of the bills I guess, and income taxes are cut beforehand if you work in a paid job. He does not pay taxes, people who he rents taxis from do. He does not rent taxis from an individual, it changes nearly everyday.

If your dad HAS income, then you know you need to report that income. All of it…including tips. It sounds like this money was earned in Turkey. Is that correct?

If he is working, he is not unemployed.

Yes he has income, and it is earned in Turkey; but there is no report about that income. He works in different taxis everyday, and he pays the owners of the taxis a fee. However he does not complete any financial documents, he works on daily wages.
