Parental Advice, please...

<p>I was accepted EA to Stanford. Not expecting to be admitted, I already applied to 9 other schools: Duke, Princeton, Northwestern, Dartmouth, Wash U, Emory, Wake, Vanderbilt, and UNC. I am withdrawing my applications all but Duke and Princeton even though I had the possibility of getting a full-tuition scholarship at the final four (particularly at Wake and UNC), I absolutely love Stanford and feel it is the best environment for me. (I also am getting a lot of financial aid.) I know that if I went to Morehead semifinalist interview, I would be lying to say I wanted to go to UNC. I can’t do that. (Note: Please don’t make me second-guess my decision.)</p>

<p>But I digress. I’d like parents of Stanford students to tell me about their children’s experiences there and give me any advice for my next four years. I have made a big step in deciding to go there (as you can see), and I’d like to hear any stories you have to share…</p>

<p>I can’t help ya with the Stanford question but I can tell ya a big CONGRATULATIONS for not only getting into a very selective school but getting to go to your first choice! Happy times ahead! </p>
