Parents, from your perspective how do teachers (sub's) gain respect?

I have a unique situation, I will be a substitute at 19 years old, I have connections to teachers so I am not concerned about being called however given my age I am only a few years older than the students in the class. How do I get the respect of not only students but other faculty.

Just as far as appearance goes I’ve gotten “I thought you were like 24” and I’ve also gotten “there’s a new law that if you’re under 12 and flying, you don’t have to take your shoes off…”

I’m really short (5’) BTW

Not a parent, but if you are a 19 year old female, prepare to get hit on a lot lol.
