Just finished reading a great piece in WSJ. Look up “it’s never too late to start a brilliant career.” There is hope for us old ferts! 
I am in fact starting a new career! In my last semester, they asked if I would consider teaching there. Being one of the 2 oldest students in the class (the other was born on the same day!), I was flattered and never considered being faculty. The more I explored it, the more excited I got. Long story short, I am a full-time faculty member and I will be teaching future NPs. I will continue to work at my job one day a week and maybe help cover for vacations over the summer.
